Ex-Inmate & Family Support: Beacon Of Life (BOL)
The ex-offender support programme, called Beacon of Life (BOL), provides all-around support to individuals who have been admitted to prison (or drug rehabilitation centres), and their families. Driven by the strong belief that helping others is a good way for one to find oneself, BOL aims to walk the journey with ex-offenders, even from before institutional release, to a place of strength where they empower others in the community to do their best.
We mentor our BOL members to develop basic skill sets such as financial literacy, goal setting and relationship management. We collaborate with community partners such as the Social Service Office, Family Service Centre, Yellow Ribbon and Meet-the-People sessions to provide further support such as job opportunities, family & housing matters and community reintegration.
